Visitors

Visitor facilities

The Royal Dart Yacht Club is a private members club, but we welcome visiting yachtsmen and members’ guests. Visiting yachtsmen are Members of Yacht or Sailing Clubs and foreign sailors visiting Dartmouth by sea. See club rules for details. All visitors are requested to enter their name, address and credentials as a visitor in the Visitors book. Visitors are welcome to use all the facilities of the club, including the bar and terrace. There are male and female toilets on the ground floor. Male and female changing rooms with showers and toilets can be found on the first floor.

Dress Code

The Royal Dart Yacht Club is a relaxed private members club, though we do request that members and visitors wear suitable attire for the surroundings whilst recognising that we are a functioning sailing club.
During the daytime we operate a casual dress code encouraging a relaxed approach. Providing it does not offend other members or contravene our club rules, it is likely to be acceptable. Please remember that topless attire will not be acceptable in any social parts of the Club.
Social events advertised on the Club website will normally make clear when a particular dress code is advised, for instance Smart Casual, Yachting No.1s or Black Tie. Please keep in mind that we ask Gentlemen not to wear headgear in the clubhouse in the evening.
