By road
Our address is Priory Street, Kingswear, Dartmouth TQ6 OAB.
The road is narrow so we recommend that if you are arriving by car you park at the Pay and Display (or Ringo) car park located next to Kingswear Station just two minutes walk from the Club House.
If coming from the Dartmouth side of the river, you will find more parking opportunities in Dartmouth. You can then cross the river on foot using the Passenger Ferry from the Town Quay, or the historic Lower Ferry. The Lower Ferry is usually the quickest way to cross by car to Kingswear. Turn left as you drive off the ferry. The Pay and Display car park will be found immediately on your left, through the archway.

By public transport
The nearest mainline stations are Newton Abbot, Totnes and Paignton serviced by the Great Western Railway and Cross Country Trains.
For the adventurous, the steam train from Paignton ends its picturesque route within a few yards of the Club. And there are occasional ferry sailings from Totnes.
Kingswear can also be reached by bus direct from Paignton or Brixham. Dartmouth is served by buses from Totnes, Newton Abbot and Kingsbridge.
By sea
Coming from Start Bay, pass Dartmouth Castle to port and follow the fairway up the River – you will see RDYC’s “Welcome to Visiting Yachts” to starboard. There may be club trot moorings available – please contact the office ahead of your visit. There are visitor’s pontoons at Darthaven Marina and further up river on Dart Harbour visitor’s pontoons on the east side. The river has excellent holding ground for anchoring to the east of the big ship mooring buoys as per Chart. See Admiralty Chart Folio SC5602, 10 for approaches and 9A/B for the River Dart. See also Avoiding Rocks if sailing outside the marked channel
Visiting yachts are welcome to use the club pontoon (if available) for a short stay while on club premises. Mooring overnight is permitted for members only, subject to permission from a flag officer.
More details about the harbour, visitor moorings, berthing charges and sailing directions can be found on the Dart Harbour website – https://www.dartharbour.org/ – or in the annual Dart Harbour Guide. (2023 edition link is: Harbour Guide )
